Want to see how not to do Google Ads?
If you own a plumbing, HVAC, or electrical shop, then stay tuned. Here are two ads for EV charger installation in Los Angeles, and we’re using PPC Reveal—a tool we created at True Blue Collar—to analyze these ads.
Typically, my videos are binary—does an ad suck or does it not? But Google Ads isn’t black and white—there’s going to be a lot of gray. And with these two ads, I see a lot of gray.
Both ads are targeting a subset of EV chargers—Tesla in one, Level 2 in the other. Clearly, both are relevant to EV charger installation. So perhaps the popularity of the subset and standing apart from general installation ads works… maybe.
But this is where a smart ad team is A/B testing this theory.
So, to these two LA electricians, I hope you have a good ad team in place—to make a change in case one of these two ads sucks.
