Should you be open 24/7?
That’s a question every contractor is going to have to consider, even if you’re not actually going to change your business hours.
Have I thoroughly confused you?
All right, I’ll let you in on what I’m talking about.
From what I’ve seen in the data, there are business hours graphs where a Google business profile ranks really well when they’re open, but is pretty much non-existent when they’re closed.
If you’re a 24/7 contractor, this is awesome. You’re crushing your competitors after hours.
But what should you 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. guys do? And there are a lot of you out there.
Personally, I’d change your hours on the business profile to be 24/7.
But I’d actually go the next step and spend a little bit of money. I’m thinking less than 500 bucks a month.
And hire a virtual receptionist for after hours.
Otherwise, you’ll keep losing business to your competitors who do adapt.
