Want to see how not to do Google ads if you own a plumbing, HVAC, or some other home services business? Then stay tuned.
Here’s a plumbing ad for a “plumber near me” search that is running in Seattle. And we’ll be using PPC Reveal, a tool we created at True Blue Collar, to see this ad.
So, I don’t think I’ve ever done a suck video about a “near me” ad. And these “near me” ads, regardless of the industry, tend to be an exception to two of my rules.
The first being that you should always have the search term in the headline. And the second, that you don’t need your business name in the headline because, as is the case with Pinky here, you have plumbing or plumber in the business name.
Therefore, Pinky is giving the searcher what they searched for. So, what is my problem with Pinky?
Well, Google gives you two more headlines that you can have in the main headline. So, Pinky, I added two more features that you offer. I found them on your website.
And that would appeal to a customer more than just knowing they have the pleasure of working with Pinky.
But in the meantime, my friend, your Google ad sucks.
