Recently, I was talking with a plumber about his Google Business Profiles, that is, plural profiles, and he asked about adding more virtual locations.
So, I trotted out my standard Google speech.
What you are proposing to do is against Google’s terms of service. Are tons of other businesses doing it? Yes. Are they getting away with it? Yes. Would I recommend doing it? No.
Because on the off chance that Google decides to make an example out of you, you run a very real risk of getting kicked out of the Google Business Profile ecosystem.
He said I was being ridiculously conservative and that he couldn’t work with a marketer like me.
So, when I saw this tweet from Ben Fisher about mass suspensions in the garage door and dumpster niches, I went and checked on this guy, and thankfully he hasn’t been suspended.
But I did send him this nice text with Ben’s tweet and this message.
