And Boy, Are They Acting Like Overlords
I don’t know about you, but I’m a Google Maps type of guy.
Apparently, though—as I shared in an earlier video—80 to 110 million people disagree with me and use Apple Maps.
So, it’s probably in your best interest to make sure you’re in compliance with our overlords at Apple.
And boy, are they acting like overlords recently.
According to this article from Search Engine Roundtable, Apple Maps is listing businesses as “Permanently Closed” if:
❌ Your business listing (think Google Business Profile, but on Apple) doesn’t match your website for hours or address.
Yikes. Seems a bit extreme, but you know what?
Your Name, Address, and Phone (NAP) should be consistent across the internet anyway.
So do yourself a favor—get that info correct and keep the Apple police from shutting you down. 🚨🍏
