I’ve got some bad news for you. There are no magic bullets.
Recently, I had a discovery call with a prospective client, and he asked specifically what we did. Every time I mentioned a service, he responded, “I got someone taking care of that.”
I mean, every service. He was like, “I got that covered.”
So, at the end, I said, “If you have all this covered, then why are you on a call with me?” And he said, “I’m looking for something new. I’m looking for a magic bullet.”
Guys, if this is you, I’ve got some bad news for you. There are no magic bullets.
Marketing and advertising aren’t new concepts. People have been trying to sell other people’s stuff for as long as there’s been people. Internet marketing is over 30 years old. There are no magic bullets.
But what you should be asking is not if you need new bullets, but maybe someone new to fire the bullets you already have.
