This is how you win at Reddit.

I’m guessing you guys and gals are expecting me to say I’m old. And I can’t believe people are using Reddit as a search engine.

But you know what?

I use Reddit as a search engine all the time.

And with some digging on my part, it’s not unusual that us Gen Xers, don’t call me a boomer, for us Gen Xers to search on Reddit and look at the millennials and Gen Z.

Damn.

So, how do you, as someone who owns a contracting business, how can you use Reddit to your advantage?

Very carefully, Redditors hate people self-promoting.

If I was setting up shop here in Austin, where there’s nearly a half million people on the Austin page, I’d be just like this home inspector.

He posts non-promotional videos once a week, answers people’s questions without promoting himself, and in his bio, he says, “Hey, DM me if you have a question.”
